Dillon and friends Solly Burton and Olivia Smiley swept the contests at the 2007 Indiana State Championships. Dillon won flatpicking guitar, Solly won the mandolin competition and Olivia won the Junior Fiddle and Fiddle Off to claim the Governor's Trophy. The trio then combined to win the state championship as Best Bluegrass Band.  It is the second state championship for "Ol Dill" - as the group won the Kentucky State Championship in July.

Dillon is the 2007 Indiana State Guitar Flatpicking Champion	Dillon backed up numerous competitors throughout the two-day Indiana State Championships and was awarded the "Best Rhythm Player" award by the festivals organizers.
